Lin Lin is a visual communication designer from China, She currently works as a designer on Baidu, and spends free time illustrating and traveling. She is a gifted observer, and the beauty she encounters is captured in her work, There, light and shadow overlap each other, time is slow, two people, a dog, a cat, as if it is a lifetime......
01. The boundary of a circle has no edges
Lin grew up in an atmosphere of love. Her parents never criticized her too harshly. At every crossroad in her life, they offered her many references and suggestions. This love of education for Lin Lin was not only a gift of enlightenment in life, but also an indispensable precious signpost in her growth.
She shared some interesting findings from her DISC personality test, where the "S" for stability was the most important part of her personality. She describes herself as a good listener who is open to different voices and finds it lovely to have different perceptions. "I" represents a small proportion of the influence, but Lin Lin does not want to compromise and change. She says with a smile that she does not want to influence others too much, because it feels like a seemingly "evil" thing for herself.
Lin Lin's heart, like a full circle, has no corners. We can not find the beginning and end, inclusive of everything. Enjoying tolerance and listening outside the borders, cherishing the richness of the world, and the colorful beauty of the outside world is enveloped into her circle to digest. It is a beautiful and pure pearl without corners.
02. Color particles from a film lens
Lin Lin majored in English, and painting was just a hobby for her when she was a teenager. Her international vision of English enabled her to get in touch with foreign art and culture on Instagram and YouTube at an early age. When you first meet Lin Lin's works, it is easy to think they are oil paintings. However they are actually electronic paintings. The texture brought by rough brush strokes is the change of light and shadow only under the film’s lens.
Lin Lin likes the depiction of the vistas, with different locations matching different angles. For her, the skill of composition is more than just visual beauty. It accompanies you, or conjures up a forgotten memory, or a scene that comes before you, or a direction in the distant future. The resonant scenes in the paintings are real, but Lin Lin does not deliberately restore them. She is infatuated with the inspiration brought to her by the scenery in the travel, and she wants to record them in a more tender way full of artistic conception.
In her works, color is a tone to express feelings. The color matching is comfortable and flexible. The depiction of scenery in color particles makes people yearn for it. "I like to emphasize an artistic concept," Lin said. "I like to emphasize texture. In composition, I emphasize the sense of form, which is different in each painting, including the colors, which are more of an emotional expression."
